T-Time Thoughts

Last week, I wrote on soulful work and living. This week, on LinkedIn, I shared on walking it. Today, I find myself in the eye of the storm, a brief shining moment of peace amidst huge amounts of stuff to do, all converging this latter part of September. The overwhelm in the eye. Aaaaagh. Then, I realize that it is Day 93 of ROCK 105 … all about…

Huh? How does that even relate? Telling the truth kindly and gently? Reflecting on my words? Thinking before I speak? Not allowing anger to control? Discerning the timeliness of thought and speech? Courteous language? How does this relate or resonate?

In our self talk. What if, when in overwhelm, we spoke to ourselves thusly? What if this over somehow beating ourselves up?

Hmmmm. Hmmmm indeed. Hmmmmm in deed.

Give that a try. I am.

In addition, and over Days 94 (Thursday) through 97 (Sunday), I will be practicing…

Thankfulness, Thoughtfulness, Tolerance and Trust. Now, there is a T-4 worth considering. And they tie into the message of today. To practice Tact with myself, maybe I consider the roles of Thankfulness, Thoughtfulness, Tolerance and Trust.

What a thought!?

Worth a thought.

Peace, passion and prosperity…

Soulful Work and Living

First, please read this on morals and ethic on the front line.

In Acceptance and R-More, I offered up 6 virtues walking us to this past Sunday. Last Monday, Labour Day, I offered up on Sacrifice… Day 85 of ROCK 105. Now, and amidst the days of College start up, I offer Day 86 (Tuesday) through 91 of ROCK 105

and…

Self-Discipline, Serenity, Service, Simplicity, Sincerity and Soulfulness. In many ways, I see the latter as encompassing the 5 former. To live our best truth, and stay on it requires Self-Discipline. In being who we are and more than good with that engages Serenity, Simplicity and Sincerity. And in bringing our best truth to the world, we best serve.

Amidst these days of College start up and reworking my website, I need be reminded of same. Both my work in education and enterprise must remember same. Grounded thusly. This week, I intend to study and practice on Soulfulness. We need it it to found and ground us in these times.

How does Soulfulness relate for you?

Peace, passion and prosperity…

Acceptance and R-More

In That First Virtue last week, I wrote on Patience and said, “Patience is more than we often think it to be. It is a quiet Strength, Trust, Hope and Confidence. It speaks to the Infinite Game, and I feel it is time to go back and really study and practice this one. With the news of the passing of Sir Ken Robinson, I am reminded of both his inspiration and the need to continue the work he inspired. Patience breeds Optimism and visa versa. Rome was not built in a day, but it was built.”

Your R-More, and ROCK 105

This week, I am even better understanding same … and the strength that is Acceptance (see further below).

Up until Monday, August 31, we have explored 78 days and 78 virtues… and Patience was one of them. This week, amidst all that is going on with the start of College, a new website and era for Epic Engage, and more… I explore Days 79 through 84 of ROCK 105…… with…

… up through Sunday, September 6, 2020… and ahead of Labour Day in Canada… Day 85 to come. I am going to be practicing each of these 6 that I simply and affectionately refer to as my R-More. I suggest the practice and exploration to anyone as these 6 range, and bring diverse capacity to bring it, endure it, answer it and feel it. I humbly suggest that you have a considered read and reflect.

Acceptance

That all said, I am particularly considering Acceptance this day…

… and its role in finding our starting block. With the news of the passing of Chadwick Boseman, I am reminded that Acceptance provides us with our bearings, and even purpose… at least the opportunity to accept it. What I am learning of Chadwick is that he wore such well… in words and deeds. Though never really knowing him, I do indeed miss him already… but I will not miss on his message by example. In so not missing on same, I am reminded of these words…

Noble have I created thee, yet thou hast abased thyself. Rise then unto that for which thou wast created.

Rising up requires Acceptance. It is the message of Atlas Falls… my new personal anthem of choice from Shinedown. It is the message I refuse to miss from Chadwick.

Yeah, this day, I am reminded of Patience, Acceptance and the R-More to live our best lives while we can. I intend such. For me, there is no time to lose. For none of us. This does not imply “hustle”. It does imply Acceptance and answering our own call. How about you? Wouldn’t you rather? I would. I freakin’ would. I do. How about you? And while you are pondering same, maybe check out TUGtv. There are examples of people answering their own call.

Peace, passion and prosperity…
