Purposeful and Kind

In Kindness In and Out, I shared, “Owning who we best are and expressing it to the world; Panda was and is the epitome. So my greatest act of Kindness to me, will be to take on her greatest lesson for me. Be kind to yourself. It will be a source of Kindness to the world.” Enter Purposefulness.

Purposefulness is a Virtue; a strength of character. It brings meaning to life. It gives it true value… and we get to define it, as parents, kindred, friends, colleagues and more. We get to define it as educators, entrepreneurs and emerging leaders. We get to also help others define their own by living ours. And we can look to the dreams of our childhood for signs and signals. I am looking back and forward. Clarity abounds, and more to follow. But, clarity is there. Thank Candor within.

Look, I have no living parents. No children. My #bestlittledogintheworld Panda has departed. I am at that crossroads to be open and honest about purpose for me.

Over the last two personal blog posts, I have explored Kindness. For me, this day, Purposefulness is Kindness, to our souls. Be kind to yourself, your Soul. Listen to it, and follow.

Ask yourself what matters most to you… who matters most… why they matter most. Be courageously open and honest with yourself, your Soul.

One life.

Precious.

Make it count, big or small or anywhere in between.

Peace, passion and prosperity…

Kindness In and Out

In Kindness Builds, I shared… “Kindness matters, in grief and in life. It is a strength of character weaving strands of the strongest steel into our lives and relationships. It matters at home, school, work, business and community. It matters with friend and stranger. It matters. I have seen its power as recipient this week, and going forward. As someone who has tried hard to practice same, I am seeing first hand it’s power. And it is a power, make no mistake about it.”

And Kindness to ourselves as well. Yesterday was “eventful”… getting Panda’s Urn 13 days after her passing due to weather and Covid… and going for tests after having a sore throat (I don’t think I have Covid due to my vigilant isolation but thought to be safe over sorry… we shall see). And teaching through the day.

That said, with the strong emotions of yesterday in heart and mind, I am reminded of the story of the Watchmen. What we often see as tests might just be moving us towards where we need to go. With Pandemic and Panda, and a 61st birthday coming Saturday, I am prayerfully reflecting on where life takes me and where I take it.

I am thinking of my parents, and sister in the Next Realm.

I am thinking of Panda.

I am thinking of friends and family passed, and mentors… and going inward to move outward, praying…

Our best Kindness to ourselves is to BE ourselves. Dominion and Candor.

Owning who we best are and expressing it to the world; Panda was and is the epitome. So my greatest act of Kindness to me, will be to take on her greatest lesson for me. Be kind to yourself. It will be a source of Kindness to the world.

Peace, passion and prosperity…

Kindness Builds

In Good Grief, Barry Green, I offered up that “Grieving is good and necessary. Check out some thoughts from May and December 2020 from the Harvard Business Review too. There is much to munch on. For me, I am pondering Acceptance of all my feelings as they happen… and how I process and walk them. I am no expert, but I have my experience, education and observation. Just my two cents, right now.”

Little did I know writing that last week… that mere hours later my #bestlittledogintheworld Panda would take her flight. I have been in grieving while living mode these past 6 days and counting. And, countless people have expressed all kinds of acts of Kindness… through thoughts, wishes and prayers… through care packages, collages, pics and songs.

Kindness matters, in grief and in life. And it is a power, make no mistake about it.

Kindness is the mortar of brick and building that can bring us together.

Let us build.

Peace, passion and prosperity…

Good Grief, Barry Green

In GO! … I shared on Grace and Orderliness in my walk with Panda and her health. That path is getting rockier by the day, and this week I offer up to videos on grief and moving forward. I think them worth your time. I think they both, in their own ways, deal with Acceptance of where we are, when we are, how we are.

I am finding them both useful, as I navigate mine. I will just leave them here. And maybe consider the Virtues Reflection Card on Acceptance
