AIIA

We cannot be certain of much but there are things for which we can.
In Tenacious Sagacious Steps, I suggested that “Tenacity is that capacity to keep walking, and Sagacity is that capacity for discerning each step that is right for us.” I recommend the back back, read and reflect.
That said, me too.
I am also discerning thusly.
This has been a demanding week between my walking the Baha’i Fast while getting back to online teaching and various development projects, plus my new road back to health. One mini project amongst it all was to update Rock 109 to Rock 118… a new periodic table of virtues for practice.

Why do I offer such here? As I consider Tenacity and Sagacity, the “raw materials” are the practice of the virtues. The challenge is to look at each situation faced, as faced, and consider what virtues are necessary for each; not unlike a 118 speed stick shift.

As a Master Facilitator with The Virtues Project, I am aware that (a) character matters and most so in times of uncertainty, (b) character is driven and developed by the practice of virtues and (c) such practice is made possible by reflecting on what each virtue looks like in action. As I face each step of the walk forward, it is crucial to assess the situation, identify the virtues called for, imagine what they would look like, and then act accordingly.
- Assess the situation with Openness and Discernment
- Identify the virtues called upon with Discernment and Decisiveness
- Imagine the virtues in action with Creativity
- Act upon that imagination with Initiative and Commitment
AIIA… 4 steps for those tenacious sagacious steps. We walk…
Peace, passion and prosperity…
