In That First Virtue last week, I wrote on Patience and said, “Patience is more than we often think it to be. It is a quiet Strength, Trust, Hope and Confidence. It speaks to the Infinite Game, and I feel it is time to go back and really study and practice this one. With the news of the passing of Sir Ken Robinson, I am reminded of both his inspiration and the need to continue the work he inspired. Patience breeds Optimism and visa versa. Rome was not built in a day, but it was built.”
Your R-More, and ROCK 105
This week, I am even better understanding same … and the strength that is Acceptance (see further below).
Up until Monday, August 31, we have explored 78 days and 78 virtues… and Patience was one of them. This week, amidst all that is going on with the start of College, a new website and era for Epic Engage, and more… I explore Days 79 through 84 of ROCK 105…… with…
… up through Sunday, September 6, 2020… and ahead of Labour Day in Canada… Day 85 to come. I am going to be practicing each of these 6 that I simply and affectionately refer to as my R-More. I suggest the practice and exploration to anyone as these 6 range, and bring diverse capacity to bring it, endure it, answer it and feel it. I humbly suggest that you have a considered read and reflect.
That all said, I am particularly considering Acceptance this day…
… and its role in finding our starting block. With the news of the passing of Chadwick Boseman, I am reminded that Acceptance provides us with our bearings, and even purpose… at least the opportunity to accept it. What I am learning of Chadwick is that he wore such well… in words and deeds. Though never really knowing him, I do indeed miss him already… but I will not miss on his message by example. In so not missing on same, I am reminded of these words…
Yeah, this day, I am reminded of Patience, Acceptance and the R-More to live our best lives while we can. I intend such. For me, there is no time to lose. For none of us. This does not imply “hustle”. It does imply Acceptance and answering our own call. How about you? Wouldn’t you rather? I would. I freakin’ would. I do. How about you? And while you are pondering same, maybe check out TUGtv. There are examples of people answering their own call.
Peace, passion and prosperity…
