In Reclaiming Education, I suggested that our “Education should support what is most important to us.” Over these next 3 months, I have a fierce focus, grounded in learning. Allow me to explain.
I have had several mentors who suggest that our planning and execution must needs be focused over 90 days; 3 months. We cannot truly foresee beyond. This does not deny having a longer vision but it speaks to that over which we have some semblance of control.
For me, and for now, after sharing on Character and Strength… and On Purpose … and #hUmaNITY … and A PEACE of WORK… I know my simple focus for these next 3 months… through May, June and July. And it starts and ends with health. Building a stronger Barry serves what and who matters to me most. That said, as I shared on LinkedIn today…
Had an up and down week on many fronts. Trial and triumph alike. Regressed on weight reduction. But put a fire in the belly. 9000 steps in already today. Goin’ “huntin'” on that. Fierce 🔥. Been a week of cluing up Term, appreciating my students, connecting with cool heart driven people. ❤️ I adore my teaching and my Epic Engage enterprise. Freakin’ blessed. 😀 Been a week of setbacks and hard lessons too. Some, real hard. That said… am now fiercely focused on May, June and July… particularly around health. I do not overuse the word. But these next 3 months will be transformative. Not changing who I am at core. But getting back to core. Wearing my blue. My logo is blue. My Colts are blue. My Seahawks, Bills and Giants too. Night sky. Ocean. Blue. Black and blue. Indigo blue. Sky blue. Blue. Bear blue… and luvs me some Green too. At The Greens. 😉 G’rilla Boy. Dancer Boy. Boxer Boy. Unity Guy. Workin’ on being just a good man. Simple man. Peace. 💙 … and keep walking. ❤️
I keep walking, boxing, dancing and rocking towards that… a leaner, stronger return to Dancer Boy. It is time, and in order. And Character matters in getting there and moving forward. I will practice my own sense of personal Discipline. And, I will be sharing here on the journey over these next three months. What can you focus on thusly? Do that.
