Last week here, I shared on Meander for Meaning. On LinkedIn over the last couple of days, I shared on Discernment and Creativity. That said, I posted this on Facebook yesterday.
Just experienced a guided meditation with an expert practitioner and great friend. I have long believed in the power and wonder of meditation. Practiced my own through life. This was incredible and palpably real. Such a feeling of sacred “Home”. Thankful.
Meandering for meaning, discerning and creating… critical think and creative problem solving… are all served well through meditation. Bahá’u’lláh states: “The source of crafts, sciences and arts is the power of reflection.” The source of crafts, sciences and arts, hmmmmm. So many arenas of human endeavour are served thusly.
Meditation matters; not simply for peace of mind, but its prosperity too. Our mind, body and spirit flourish with meditation and reflection. It can be done in minutes, or longer. Or both. It can impact our own sense and practice of self-mastery. It can fortify and guide our countenance and gate… and provide much needed true self care and attention.
In 1913, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá said “This faculty brings forth from the invisible plane the sciences and arts. Through the meditative faculty inventions are made possible, colossal undertakings are carried out; through it governments can run smoothly.”
Meditation matters. I am intending to ever increasingly dedicate time to such. The return on investment can be “colossal”.
Peace, purpose and prosperity.
