Break

The word break. Hmmmm… so many meanings.

For such a little word, it can mean everything from violence to peace.

Last week, I wrote on Truth and Understanding…. and virtues including Truthfulness, Understanding and Unity. I also wrote in Your Purpose, Now about Wholeheartedness, Wisdom, Wonder and Zeal. That concluded the ROCK 105 series. A break, if you will. Then Monday, I wrote on resetting… another form of breaking.

Amidst the end of September and getting into my rhythm slowly but surely with a new College year… amidst working on my new website and work related to Epic Engage… amidst resetting on health… and a sick puppy right now needing care… it is time for a break.

I just completed leading a powerful, real and very cool and engaging series of training with facilitators-in-training … with backgrounds from here to Iran, China, South Africa, Mexico, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and beyond. Incredible. Beautiful. Inspiring. I was excited about it beforehand but I had no idea how it would open my eyes and heart.

And it got me thinking about a break inside. Listen to the lyrics. “I finally figured out what’s mine.”

It is time for my own break. It is time for Detachment.

In that last session this past Monday, the song Jerusalema came up. It is my new favourite song. The lyrics. Find them. See them. Hear them. For me, it also speaks of both letting go and finding something better. The vibe and the words move the spirit and the feet.

And for me, it is time for a letting go of some things. A break. “Everything requires everything” is a whisper I keep hearing and it feels like this Fall is the time for the falling away. There is still more to discern but clarity is sharpening it blades. Will it be violent? No. Will it be peaceful? Probably not. Will it be good and right? I have no doubt.

But a break it must be. A break, for good. A break, for the good. New vistas await. October will be very telling. For now, I ask you… what has ended its journey for and with you? Of what do you need to let go? How can Detachment be practiced.

Do that.

I am.

Peace, passion and prosperity…
