Dawn Gough (Environmental Consultant with EnTec Environmental Consulting) and I are having cool convos on environmental Responsibility.

Dawn is the owner and lead consultant of EnTec, and holds a Graduate Degree in Technology Management, a Bachelor of Technology Degree, and a Diploma in Environmental Technology.

Her career in the environmental industry thus far has led her to work on many of Newfoundland and Labrador’s megaprojects, including the Voisey’s Bay Underground Expansion Project, the Long Harbour Nickel Processing Plant Project, the Bull Arm Fabrication Site, and the Churchill Falls Underground Hydroelectric Generating Station where she focused on the development of sound environmental management plans and policies.

Dawn is about environmental excellence, change through policy, social responsibility, and long-term sustainability. As an industry consultant, writer, and community leader, she has enjoyed forging environmental initiatives and providing environmental oversight in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador for 20 years. With ISO Lead Auditor certification, she guides others with knowledge of federal, provincial, and municipal regulations, industry best practices, and international standards.

She believes real change that improves workplace safety and prevents harm to the environment is initiated from the top down and from the inside out, inspiring the leadership of socially and environmentally-conscious companies. Dawn most recently served as the on-site Environmental Coordinator for the Voisey’s Bay Mine Expansion Project, the largest underground mine under construction in Canada, which will extend the sustainability of the operation until at least 2034.

That all said, Dawn and I invite you to consider these samplings of some of our earlier conversations for Winter 2022 and Fall 2021 and Summer 2021. Our mutual intent is to explore the global goals and how we can live locally and globally to ensure sustainability, with economy and ecology in good and healthy balance… going forward. Beginning again in March, we are looking to get ever more practical and purposeful around bringing environmental Responsibility to our lives at home, school, work, business and community.

TUGtv is where you can find it all. Join us there. Peace. 😉
