Moderation is the mother of all virtues.  It is not about the even keel.  To me, we are defined not by some self-annointed description of who we are intending to be. We are defined by our actions; by our deeds. We are defined by our decisions to do and be in the face of life; one brick of action at a time. There is leadership. There is strength of character. There is your rudder; not your even keel.
