This is as much a thank you to many people I have not yet met, as it is a reminder for me… of possibility.  Since #CAPS2017, there has been much learning.  And, I have been late in updating on my journey back to health this week.  But, I have been busy.  🙂  So, better late than…

In the last Wayfarer… 1.7 … I talked about my new FitBit as my buddy, getting me to take at least 10,000 steps every day.  I said in that post…

This is so helpful in terms of going GREAT, for me.

  • GET … based on who you are and what you do, what do you need to GET done today.
  • RELEVANCE… how does that powerfully relate and have resonance for your one goal of BEING and DOING? This one is a fixed point, really. You are always relating your “get” to your natural BEING and DOING.
  • EXECUTE… what actions do you need to take on to go get it today?
  • ASSESS… on a scale of 1 to 5 (5 being DONE), at the end of the day, measure your getting it done; and be prepared to reset.
  • TIMEFRAME… this is another fixed point… today… 24 hours. That is your time frame; those day tight compartments.”

Now, a week later, and as part of Krista Walsh‘s online Fusion Fitness Class out of PEI, I am pumped.  It has radically reinvented how I see my possibilities, fitness wise.   I have always be a guy of Optimism and possibility; but this past week has rocked me.  The team, the encouragement, the focus… all have rocked.

It is crazy but I won last weekend’s Workout Warrior Challenge with 25,000+ steps (OMG, I am still stunned)… and, as of this morning, I am awaiting word on the possibility of winning the Workweek Hustle… with 100,444 steps in 5 days!

The winning is not my goal.  Truthfully, I am more than surprised that I walked over 125,000 steps last week… averaging almost 18,000 steps a day!  I truly did not see that coming, but I was inspired… by Krista and the other members, my music and my goal.  I say none of this to boast, as I am surprising myself, but I will let these four videos speak to my message this week.

This morning, I worked out… and am continuing on with my focus and fun… with a HUGE THANK YOU to Krista and Fusion.  Also, and as noted last time, I have discovered the coolness of one Earl St. Clair… and I find his music moving in so many ways.  Funky fitness and fun.  🙂

And, I am still finding wisdom in this from my friend and colleague Michelle Cederburg on HELL YEAH.

LEARNING

So, here is my learning as I get on the next leg of this health journey; and my goal of lean and strong in 2018.  One day at a time is the goal.  I do not care about being first.  I care about being my best.  It is the only thing over which I have true control.  I love being and becoming my best, and how that in some way might possibly inspire others to do the same.  Fun works for me.  Inspiring and being inspired works for me.  Enthusiasm and Zeal work for me.  Purposefulness and Determination, too.  Joyfulness and Unity.  These all connect for me; and help me connect with my goal to get back to optimal health in 2018.  This is truly a journey, one day… one brick… at a time.

And, I am thankful.

I think this says much for success of any kind.  It is a commitment to excellence, one day at a time.  It is about bringing our best and letting the results speak for themselves; whatever they may be.  It is about inspiring and being inspired.  It needs to be fun.

When all is said and done, do your best… forget the rest.  Relax, and have fun, living inside your skin.  These words unintentionally spewed out of my mouth at an Earl’s Cafe in Vancouver in 1987.  They have even more relevance for me now.  So… how does that work for you?  What does it look like?  What does it look like for you individually, as a leader, an educator, an entrepreneur?  What does it look like for your class, your team, your community?  Get clear on that and get going… and have fun doing it.  🙂

In the next week, there will be a number of changes and announcements going into 2018.  I respectfully and enthusiastically and humbly ask you to stay tuned.  In the meantime, Panda and I wish you the best of Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Holidays and New Year.  Right now, I am heading off to The Last Jedi for the second time… loooooved it. Possibility, and fun, again.  🙂

Until we chat next time…

Peace, passion and prosperity.
