Tomorrow is my 6-2 Birthday. Last up here, I shared on owning it. To own it, you must need know your “IT”. Today, ahead of 6-2, I offer this as my ownership in the thought of urging you to find yours.
It is about finding our Dominion, the life that is our own personal country to explore. We have explored some parts that we want to return to and others we do not. We find ourselves in our current parts with things we want to keep and things we are done with… and we have opportunity to explore new vistas ahead. Cut, keep, improve and add. Leave, stay, enhance and explore. These four gears we have at our disposal in claiming and moving about our country.
As that gift to myself, I took this morning to forge with courageous Candor, my 6-2 Card. It is my ticket in and through 6-2. Only hearing yesterday of the passing of a childhood friend, I am reminded ever more of the importance of exploring and claiming our lives as our country, our Dominion. We have that Responsibility. I suggest that it is mindful self-leadership. It is the kind of leadership driven by Character, Purpose and Unity within. Ultimately and honestly for me, I am punching this ticket, this year. If it is on the ticket, I am in. Hell Yeah. If not, it ain’t part of the next walk through my country. I am setting powerful boundaries because my life (my country) matters. How I walk it in countenance and gait, matters. And it will make decisions on IN and OUT that much better.
Bottom line is my work and play is all about “humans together, strong”. As LP Jacks said, “A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure; his mind and his body; his education and his recreation. He hardly knows which is which. He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing, and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing. To himself, he always appears to be doing both.” For me, “mastery” is found in “studentry” and my studentry at home, school, work, business and community… in Joy, Zeal and Service… is humans together strong. That is my life and country… my just cause… my raison d’etre… and 6-2 has a ticket that will be punched. How about you? What is your life and country? What is your Dominion. Own it. Peace. 😉
