This month, with our fourth in the series of Leader ToC™ Blog Posts for 2017, we interview the inimitable Krista T. Walsh of KC Collect and beyond.

Krista is a rising star in the speaking community and a good and new friend and colleague.  I am excited to have her join the conversation at Leader ToC™ .  That being said, Leader ToC™ (Thoughts on Character) is our monthly series engaging leaders around the world on character, leadership and more.

But still… before we actually get started this month, here are:

That means… this month makes our tenth issue!!!  We are truly thankful, and look forward to continuing the learning journey; and having you with us.  We hope you engage and enjoy.

So, let’s get at it to …

Engage the Leader ToC™

BARRY LEWIS GREEN

Hey Krista!  Thanks so much for joining us on Leader ToC™.  Glad you agreed to be part of the conversation.  To start, I typically ask “Who are you and what is it you do?”

KRISTA T. WALSH

My pleasure Barry.  Bottom line is I am Krista T. Walsh, an Entrepreneur, Speaker, Author, and Fitness Instructor. Essentially, I am driven and direct, yet humorous and easy going.  🙂
BARRY LEWIS GREEN

Indeed. 🙂  I have come to know and see this in the time we have known each other.  For our readers, I would like to offer up some video selections that speak to this.  You offered this up on adding a spring in the step and this on loving what you do.  Very funny, direct and real… and brings a smile to my face.  Can’t wait to see your entry for May.  🙂  Still… with all of that that in mind… given who you are and what do you… for whom do you do it best?  In other words… who is your best audience?
KRISTA T. WALSH
Thanks Barry.  I enjoy doing those videos.  Essentially, my best audience includes aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and accounts receivable managers.

BARRY LEWIS GREEN

And how is it that you best serve them?  How do you offer your services?
KRISTA T. WALSH
Well, within my collection agency, KC Collect, we assist in creating cash flow for businesses. I am also a certified accounts receivable trainer, so I offer seminars in order for businesses to learn specific procedures and practices on efficient credit management.

BARRY LEWIS GREEN

I admire your clarity and focus.  It shows such discernment and decisiveness; both powerful virtues in this field of training and development for sure.  Then, with your work and audience in mind, what are the challenges and opportunities of leadership, from your perspective and experience?
KRISTA T. WALSH
For me, I see the balancing and managing of various businesses and schedules. Taking time to relax. One of my friends compared me to a tornado – always moving and never still.

BARRY LEWIS GREEN

I can relate and I can see that.  🙂  Given that, when reflecting on the strengths of leadership… what virtues do you consider to be paramount as strengths of character and why do you believe them vital?
KRISTA T. WALSH
Extremely organized, driven and goal orientated. They are paramount in developing success. And don’t have kids. 🙂

BARRY LEWIS GREEN

Lol, I don’t and probably won’t now. 🙂  So, I am hearing orderliness. zeal and mindfulness.  I am hearing devotion and decisiveness.  I am hearing commitment and simplicity.  I am also witnessing in your work joyfulness and excellence.  That is quite the mix; powerful.  So, what is one piece of advice you might have for our readership on developing leadership and strength of character in these times?
KRISTA T. WALSH
I think it comes down to this.  Identify your skills early and choose a career that is going to challenge and inspire you. Love what you do – make your own schedule and take naps. 🙂
BARRY LEWIS GREEN

Wooooonderful.  Krista, that is all there is to the questions this day.  This has been a treat and joy.  I want to thank you so much for joining us on Leader ToC™.

KRISTA T. WALSH

I enjoyed it too.  Thanks Barry.
