News and Views is a new initiative for 2017.  On a more random and periodic basis, we will do a short post with some links to read and ponder.  In some ways, it is a catch up.  In other ways, we might bring the mustard; and a little relish.  🙂

THE PROMISE

This second issue examines the idea of “promise”.  We start with a post on That GREAT Promise.   The word promise itself is noted to mean:

1. a declaration that something will or will not be done
2. an express assurance on which expectation is to be based
3. something that has the effect of an express assurance

Assurance is defined as a certainty of mind.  It is grounded in the Virtue called Certitude.  Certitude is not arrogance.  It is a simple fundamental sense of knowing.

In reading the aforementioned and linked post, expect a constructive challenge to be delivered.  Just sayin’.  🙂

The HOT Dog™ is our lead piece.  Just last night, we posted this Facebook Live AFTER SCHOOL video on purpose on promise.  It was inspired by a remarkable day, and the story will tell itself.  Here, I personally offer thoughts on exploring purpose and making promises.
